The Houston Rodeo started this weekend! There was a big kick-off parade and huge Texas BBQ competition. Its going to be going on for the next few weeks with a ton of Country Music artists performing (even Hannah Montana! haha) . When we woke up Saturday it was gorgeous outside so we were really looking forward to spending the day outside checking out the sites, drinking nice cold beers, and eating BBQ! The Rodeo itself was really just starting so we weren't able to see the animals and actual rodeo events but they had a huge carnival set up and each booth that was competing in the BBQ competition had a booth area that was decorated like a private bar or restaurant. It was really cool! The entertainment was really great too, even Sim admitted it was good Country music!! ;) Texas has some good people, good food, and good music-no doubt.
We are planning on head back up there on March 15th to see the actual rodeo riding competition and to see Brad Paisley in concert! Should be good times!
